Baby Bro

I have written about my kids, my sister, and my mum, so now it is time for Baby Bro. He is ten years younger than me and has had so many adventures that I am a touch jealous, I think being the youngest of five he saw us doing so many things that it filled him with confidence.

He decided, after losing his office job, to travel Europe with a friend. Staying in youth hostels (nothing like the film he assures me) Baby Bro and Mr Jim travelled more and further afield in a few months than I had in the previous thirty years, all of this travel did something because shortly after he decided he was going to work on an Alp, in a ski resort (it would appear that the films lie about that one too), popping back twice a year between seasons. Season after season he changed jobs until he became a chef, this, I must admit, was unexpected, I mean the boy lived off garlic bread and ketchup for years and now he is not only making real food but doing it at altitude (I am told this is tricky).

Recently Baby Bro came back to England and now lives in Manchester (so not so far away) and chefs for a living, I must say it is nice that he isn’t so far away, and that if the phone rings it will usually be Baby Bro wanting to discuss the latest episode of one of our favourite shows or just because he is walking home and wants some one to chat with.

The Hellions dote on Baby Bro, and think that skyping him is a treat, mostly because he doesn’t talk to them like children and taught both of them to high five.

Really, he just sat there for five min and was climbed on and read to (the dinosaur that pooped a lot), and you know we are very much alike so I like him a lot. We like the same TV shows and films, get a little over heated about the things we love, comics are big for both of us, and neither of care what other people think about us, but

always has been, I actually remember getting hand me downs from him when he was ten.

I am so proud of his travelling, I am such a home body, and for me he has done such scary things, my Big Brave Baby Bro.
