Spiral with two active stitches

Queue freckly hands and proof I am a crocheter not a photographer.

This simple yet effective stitch is much easier than you would think. I have photographed SC/DC spirals but the principal is the same for all stitches. A fun way to work in two colours with out millions of ends to weave in.

In yarn A chain 2

ch 2

ch 2

Insert hook in to second chain from hook

2nd ch from hook

2nd ch from hook

Make three SC/DC in second chain from hook

3 SC in ch

3 SC in ch

Join yarn B with SC/DC in same ch

join B

join B

two more SC/DC in same ch

2 SC/DC

2 SC/DC

With A two SC/DC in each stitch of B

1st stitch of B

1st stitch of B

each st of B

each st of B

In B two SC/DC in first three stitches of A

B in 3 A sts

B in 3 A sts

Work as a flat circle making half of the stitches in each colour.

Keep going

Keep going

So

Round 3; in A [SC/DC, 2 SC/DC in same st] 3 times, in B [SC/DC, 2 SC/DC in same st]. (18)

Round 4; in A [SC/DC 2, 2 SC/DC in same st] 3 times, in B [SC/DC 2, 2 SC/DC in same st] 3 times. (24)
