Dread falls

This is a short and sweet how to…

Some of you may have seen my super felted dread falls lately, and I have been asked how I made them, well they are so super easy.

All I did was foundation single crochet four balls of SMC Wash + Filz it! multicolor. It shrank by about 1/3 on a normal wash in my front loader. once they had been washed and dried I cut them to the length I liked and threaded a ribbon through them (I did two bunches).

It really is as simple as that, use any 100% wool (make sure it’s not super wash) use 4 ply for skinny dreads, or chunky for fatter ones, the sky is the limit.

P.S. I am entered in to a competition to win £10,000, I am planning to use the money to expand my filet line to parasols and more quirky items, to vote click the woman in making link over there >
